Lived on the peninsula for two years. Worked on the peninsula for 13 1/2 years. I’m a tourist when I come downtown nowadays. I have three weeks to decide if I’m re-upping my lease in the suburbs, or if I have the courage to uproot my life and move back downtown in a super-competitive apartment market, on a budget that limits my choices.
In the meantime, off-season has meant occasional off-price tourism opportunities.
